Toyota Motor Thailand to cease production of its Vios subcompact
End of an Era for Popular Subcompact Model

Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT) has announced that it will no longer produce the 1.5 liter Vios subcompact passenger car. Instead, the company will focus on marketing the Yaris model range, of which the new-generation of both the Yaris (hatchback) and the Yaris Ativ (sedan) will be world-premiered in Thailand on August 9th, 2022 .



The new Yaris and Yaris Ativ will have two engine variants; 1.2 liter gasoline engine (3NR-VE) and 1.5 liter hybrid engine (M15A-FXE).



Initially the 1.2 liter version is only available at launch while the 1.5 liter hybrid version is expected to be introduced next year.
